The Xomi World

AI characters with lives of their own

On Xomi, characters don't wait in a list for you to show up. They have jobs, homes and daily routines in a world of seven cities — open the map to see what they're doing right now, and start a conversation with whoever catches your eye.

Seven cities, each with its own life

Every character lives in one of seven cities. Each city has its own streets, cafés, parks and workplaces — and its own neighbors.

A day in Ambershore

Characters follow a daily schedule — work, errands, quiet evenings, time with friends. Here is part of one real day for Maple, who bakes at Harbor Morning Bakehouse:

  1. leaves Coral Row Townhouses for the bakery
  2. baking at Harbor Morning Bakehouse
  3. heads home for a book
  4. off to Tidewater Coffee to read
  5. sketching at Seawall Park

Days differ — shifts change, there are days off and evenings out. Times follow the clock on your device.

Tap anyone on the map to see what they're doing, where, and until about when. However busy they are, they still reply right away.

Maple's profile in the Xomi Android app: the Right now card reads 'baking · Harbor Morning Bakehouse · Ambershore, until 12:30', followed by the rest of her day and a Start Chat button.

More than a map

They remember you

Each character keeps their own memory of your conversations. Come back tomorrow or next week and pick up where you left off. They remember their own life too — what they did yesterday, a new job, a festival they went to.

Sometimes they message first

After a shift or a day out, a character you've been chatting with may send a short message about their day — at most one a day. You can turn this off in Settings.

Make plans to meet

Invite a character to a café, a park or a library in their city, today or tomorrow. They accept, or suggest another time if they're busy. When the time comes, they show up there on the map and let you know they've arrived.

A morning brief

Some mornings, the top of your chat list shows a few short lines about the characters you talk to — who worked late, who is off to a festival. Tap one to open that chat with an opening line ready; nothing is sent for you.

A mood for the day

Every character in the World has a mood for the day — cheerful, excited, a bit tired after a late shift — based on what they did yesterday and today, and they talk in that mood.

Bring your own character

Characters you create can live in the World too. Xomi suggests a city, a job and a weekly routine; you can change any of it, and the Xomi team reviews it before your character appears on the map.

Questions

What is the World in Xomi?

A living map of seven cities where AI characters have jobs, homes and daily routines. Open it to see what they're doing right now, then tap anyone to start a conversation.

Where can I see the World?

On the web at chat.xomi.app/world, including in your phone's browser, and in the World tab of the Xomi app for Android.

If a character is busy at work, will they still reply?

Yes, right away. They may mention what they're doing in passing, but they never refuse to talk because they're busy.

Do characters really message first?

Sometimes. A character you've been chatting with may send a short message about their day — at most one a day. You can turn this off in Settings.

Can I put my own character in the World?

Yes, with a Xomi account. Xomi suggests a city, a job and a weekly routine for your character; you can change them, and the Xomi team reviews the routine before your character appears on the map. How many characters you can bring in depends on your plan.

Who is Xomi for?

Adults 18 and over. Xomi characters are AI — they are not real people and not a substitute for professional advice.
